Amy Christensen
Amy Christensen is currently serving as the newest member of the North Bingham County Library Board. She grew up in Manti, Utah. While attending Utah State University she met and married Ryan Christensen – a resident of Firth/Shelley reaching back several generations. Amy’s love of reading and learning was well fed by working at Utah State University’s library while earning her Bachelor’s degree and Ryan his PhD. Together, with their five children, they have built a life centered around education, service, church and community. Their oldest recently graduated from Firth High School with his Associate’s degree. Their next two are in the Firth School district and the youngest two are homeschooling with Amy (where they attend the North Bingham County Library weekly, utilizing the wonderful activities, books and resources
offered!). Amy loves the North Bingham County community and Library. She has spent the past four years actively involved in the Distinguished Young Women of Firth/Shelley program, recently serving as co-chair. Amy supports parental guidance and is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive library environment for all patrons to have the freedom to access the library’s material and resources that her family has enjoyed.

Our library has diverse and surprising resources available to the whole community. Our library has books, of course, as well as e-books and audio books, 3-D printers, computer labs, local museum passes, a glow forge, a seed library, fishing poles, themed educational kits, adult memory kits for individuals struggling with alzheimer’s and dementia. Our library has books and so much more. I value our library as a tremendous community resource and I value my opportunity to serve the library staff and its patrons.”
Carol Frongner
Carol Frongner has been a dedicated member of the North Bingham County District Library Board since 2016. Growing up on a dairy farm in Firth alongside her four sisters and two brothers, she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for rural life. Her fondest childhood memories include haying season, a time that still brings her joy with the scent of freshly mown hay. Carol attended Ricks College, where she majored in Business, and later married Steve Frongner of Shelley. Together, they have built a wonderful life with their four children and fourteen grandchildren. As an avid reader and book collector, she finds her greatest joy in libraries and bookstores—her favorite places to shop. Serving on the Library Board has been both an honor and a learning experience for Carol. She has witnessed the library’s growth and dedication to providing valuable resources to the community. Excited for the future, she looks forward to seeing the library continue to flourish as a welcoming space for all.
